      <image:title>About - Susan A. Byrne</image:title>
<image:caption>Susan was born in Dublin, Ireland and graduated from Dublin City University with a degree in Computer Science. After enjoying a 30 year career, she ‘rewired’ to explore her creative path. Throughout the years, Susan studied at Massachusetts College of Art, Art New England, Zea Mays Printmaking, and Ballinglen Art Foundation (Ireland) concentrating primarily on printmaking techniques. Printmaking provides Susan with an interplay of logical and creative processes that are perfect for her visual explorations. She is inspired by patterns, layering, abstraction, and a deep sense of connection to her ancestry. Working primarily in woodcut, she combines this technique with other printmaking processes to achieve the layers and textures that carry her way of seeing and feeling. Susan is an active member of the Zea Mays Printmaking community, The Boston Printmakers, and an artist member of The Boston Visual Artists of Ireland, Southern Vermont Arts Center, Monotype Guild of New England and Cambridge Art Association.</image:caption>
